1. Team Formation

To participate in fantasy football, you must create a team of 11 players from the real-life squads playing in the match. Your team should include a combination of forwards, midfielders, defenders, and a goalkeeper. The selection must adhere to the following format:

• 1-3 Forwards: Players primarily responsible for scoring goals.
• 3-5 Midfielders: Players who control the game with assists, passes, and goals.
• 3-5 Defenders: Players who focus on stopping the opposition and contributing to clean sheets.
• 1 Goalkeeper: The player responsible for saving shots and keeping clean sheets.

2. Scoring System

Points are awarded based on the real-life performance of the players in your fantasy team. Here’s how the scoring works:

• Goal Scoring:
  • 5 points for every goal scored by a forward.
  • 6 points for every goal scored by a midfielder.
  • 8 points for every goal scored by a defender or goalkeeper.
• Assists:
  • 3 points for every assist.
• Clean Sheets:
  • 4 points for a clean sheet by a goalkeeper or defender.
  • 1 point for a clean sheet by a midfielder.
• Defensive Actions:
  • 1 point for every 3 tackles or interceptions.
  • 5 points for a penalty save by the goalkeeper.
  • -2 points for every goal conceded by the goalkeeper or defenders.

3. Captain and Vice-Captain

One of the most critical decisions in fantasy football is selecting your captain and vice-captain. The captain earns 2x the points, while the vice-captain earns 1.5x the points. Choose wisely, as these players can significantly impact your overall score.

4. Substitutions and Transfers

You can make changes to your team before the match starts. However, once the game begins, no further changes are allowed. In some leagues, you may have the option to make substitutions during the match, but this depends on the specific rules of the contest.

5. Leagues and Contests

Fantasy football offers various types of leagues and contests:

• Public Leagues: Open to all players. Compete against a large pool of participants for rewards.
• Private Leagues: Create or join leagues with friends, family, or colleagues. Set your own rules and compete in a smaller group.
• Head-to-Head Contests: Compete directly against another player. The one with the higher score wins.
• Grand Leagues: High-stakes contests with large prize pools. Requires a higher entry fee and offers bigger rewards.

6. Fair Play and Guidelines

• Do not create multiple accounts to participate in the same contest.
• Respect other players and avoid any form of harassment or abuse.
• Follow the rules of the platform and the specific contest you are participating in.
